History
PDT Telč was the revitalization of the former school farm, but the original farm was founded in the period shortly after the Hussite Wars as the economic base of the Telč castle. The complex once rundown farm buildings is now after an extensive renovation transformed the interactive leisure time activities and tourism, but they continue to honor their history.
Exhibition Life on the Manor:
Consistency with the rich history of the region, genius loci and nostalgic touch of tradition – all this makes the Pansky dvur perfect place for exposition in the chateau and suburbia, which portrays the different chapters in the life of nobles and ordinary people in times past. Counts farm was once an important economic center for Telc Castle. Today you can find an exhibition of historical carriages and engines.
From the history of the Telč manorhouse:
Go back in time to the period when the mansion court was integral part of the Telč castle. Court was built of stone, connected to the water supply from a nearby pond, and it belonged to two gardens. The operation of the entire economy heeded steward with his wife. His task was to see to it that the granaries full of golden grain, shed the roof filled with the stored timber, and to the stables and barns came the happy moohing animals. She, with her retinue chattering maids ensured that grooms after a day’s work came to the table, which is a modest groaning with goodies from her kitchen. Court was a place full of life – from rushing poultry and livestock through dozens of hired laborers and singing girls carrying buckets of fresh milk. According to data from the land register in the yard they behaved 17 oxen, 30 cows, over 20 pieces of reactive cattle, pigs, geese and poultry, were sown 114 Meter rye, 180 Meter oats, 93 measures of barley, 42 measures of wheat, 8 measuring peas and 5 measuring flax.
An important part of the local economy were also adjacent lakes and forests, which provide additional sources of food and raw materials. In Telč ponds, for example, acted Telc blueprint – manicured carp that local plowing through water up to the Second World War. Like the mill wheel rotated relentless stream of water, and the wheel of history lazily turning forward, and brought along changes and reforms that have far-reaching impact on the noble estates. The biggest milestone for agribusiness nobility was a revolutionary year 1848, when serfdom was abolished and farmyards were forced to refocus more on economic profit. Substantial changes also brought land reform after the establishment of Czechoslovakia.
PDT Telč slow pace proceeded to an uncertain future, maids chatter died down and an oak table in the kitchen was empty because it was no one to entertain. Gentlemen of the castle had enough trouble with keeping at least some possessions than they’ve had to send out for milk and bread still warm. Since shortly after the Hussite wars when the Mansion yard shone novelty, many years have passed. The once vibrant economic base of a noble residence of the Lichtenstein-Podstatsky gradually languished until in 1973 came under the administration of the state as a school farm, what began considerably more prosaic part of its renewed existence. Check out how is the climbing on ice massifs in any weather! A major attraction of the manor courtyard is covered with climbing center with a climbing wall and drytooling. Drytooling is a special climbing technique that climbers use to control the frozen waterfalls and ice massifs.
Climbing wall:
Those interested in climbing on a climbing wall at their disposal about 200 m2 with a height of 12 m. On the wall are perpendicular sections for beginners and children, and two profiles overhang for advanced climbers. Our instructors we will be continually prepare paths of varying difficulty.
